I think there are certain questions you should be able to answer before getting into a romantic relationship. You should have a clear philosophy regarding choosing your partner to distinguish between momentary lust and genuine attraction. I believe this approach will save you time and protect you from unnecessary heartbreak.

For that same reason, I avoid having casual sex, as it clouds my judgment, prevents me from thinking logically, and causes me to get emotionally attached to someone I might not be compatible with in the long term.
